A gorgeous Bend Engagement Session with dogs along the Deschutes River

Shelby & Dan are one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet. I met them through a referral from their planner, Brooke, of Your Day, Your Way. She knew we would be a good fit, and she was absolutely right! As it came time to plan their Bend engagement session with dogs, we picked locations that suited their desires. They really wanted to include their two adorable pups, as well as Dan’s amazing classic Ford Fairlane. We started out the session at Sawyer Park, along the river, for some natural shots and then moved to Boneyard Beer’s new pub location. Dan is one of the Boneyard guys, he loves his job, and he was super excited for the new location. It wasn’t quite finished and open to the public yet, but we utilized the great outdoor space to showcase his beloved car, and the sweet love between these two and their pups!

I wanted Shelby to sit in Dan’s lap on this rock, but it was super slick and he kept sliding down. Made for a fun outtake though!

The Boneyard Beer Pub is a cool urban spot for the couple’s engagement photos with their classic Ford Fairlane!

We left Sawyer Park as the sun was starting to dip and headed to Boneyard Beer for the second half of Shelby & Dan’s photos. Dan parked his Ford Fairlane next to the new pub, with the couple’s adorable pups riding in the backseat. Seriously, if I haven’t said it before, having your Bend engagement session with dogs is a great idea! They are a part of your story and I just love puppies of all kinds! We took some photos with the car and then strolled around the exterior of the pub for some urban shots. I also had to make sure to not only photograph Shelby’s engagement ring, but also Dan’s! Yes, these two gave each other engagement rings. Isn’t that the sweetest?

I absolutely had a blast working with these two and creating the perfect Bend engagement session with dogs! I can’t wait to share their wedding blog post too.
