Close your eyes and...

Picture you and your love at the cute little A frame cabin your rented, starting your day in bed, snuggled up together drinking coffee and eating some delicious pastries. As the morning wears on, you both start getting ready for your ceremony. You exchange gifts, share kisses and then say your vows on the front porch before heading out to your hammocks hanging in the woods to share a celebratory drink and some food. As the afternoon winds down, you jump into your car and make the trek up the top of the mountain for some amazing sunset portraits. You hike around a beautiful alpine lake as the golden light warms you both. Then as the last rays dip below the horizon, you grab your headlamps and work your way back to the trailhead. But before your day is done, you take some incredible star portraits.

This is just one of many different ideas of what you can do on your elopement day. As your planner and guide, I will work with you to handcraft your dream day!

"I don't know if it was fate or just really good luck that brought us to Erica's website when looking for a photographer for our PNW elopement. My future wife and I didn't exactly know what we wanted but we got everything and more when we found Erica. From our first interaction, she had a way of putting us completely at ease with all the stress of planning a wedding...even a small elopement! Her knowledge of the area, of weddings, and of photography apparent. Erica listened intently to our wants and asked very thoughtful questions to help us figure out what those wants actually were. Throughout this process, Erica really became a friend which made all the time we spent together on our wedding day so comfortable, just like hanging out with your buddy who happened to be taking pictures of one of the best days of your life. We cannot thank Erica enough for the time and energy she put in to making our elopement come to life! And we have gorgeous pictures hanging on our walls to remember the day forever!! The hardest part is having to decide which ones to print out because they were ALL SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
I would have ZERO doubts recommending Erica to anyone looking for a magical PNW experience."

"We came across Erica entirely sight unseen and by luck. We had only a very general idea about an intimate destination elopement-style wedding, we had never been to Oregon, and we didn’t know quite where to start... We could not have been more fortunate. And the experience exceeded any expectation that we had.

From the moment that we met, Erica felt like someone we had known for years, more akin to a close friend. More than merely photography, Erica helped construct our entire day with photography as an element of an overall experience.

Erica took the time to understand our personalities and what we had in mind, constructed the perfect itinerary and found amazing locations, and made incredible suggestions along the way.

If we could give 10/5 stars to Erica, we would — but 5/5 is what we are limited to. We have no hesitation in recommending her to you: quite simply, she is the best. And in just the course of a few months virtually and a day in person, she became our friend."

"A couple of things that come to mind when I think of Erica's business includes
Erica's ability to...
* create an authentic and comfortable experience shines through the output of the photos!
*make couples feel seen and validated in what they are doing, goes beyond simply providing photos to someone
*research and time spent picture-influencing factors such as identifying what time the sun will rise in a particular area, the type/number of crowds to expect, any rules/instructions to consider for a particular location makes the world of a difference in creating a seamless and well prepared for experience
*demonstrate sincere interest and commitment to her customers, John and I felt SO seen and heard by Erica. We greatly appreciated her time spent in learning what makes us US and so perfectly and subliminally incorporating those elements into the day/photos/overall experience.
Erica, thank you again, for documenting and overall enhancing our wedding day experience :)"

"I can't recommend Erica enough!

If you are looking at photographers for your special day look no further! My husband and I chose Erica to photograph our elopement in Bend, Oregon; and we couldn't have had a better day. She is so much more than a photographer; she kept everyone on schedule while keeping our wants/needs at the forefront. She brings comfort, warmth and laughter to what could be a stressful day. Even though we had just met her the day before it seemed like we had known her for years. At the end of the day everyone was talking about how wonderful our photographer was. Most of all she made our day fun and enjoyable and gave us photos we can cherish for a lifetime.

Erica was the best decision we could have made for our wedding day!"

"Meeting Erica was such a blessing. My now husband and I are from Vancouver island BC and we had no clue where to start when it came to eloping. We knew we wanted to he married in Oregon at our favorite beach on the coast. Erica listened to our vision, supported every idea and was fully on board. My biggest fear was feeling pressure, or stress. My husband and I literally had the elopement of our dreams.

We nodded “I do”while signing the papers on our drink fridge in our travel van. Proceeded to run on the beach, laugh, get sandy and eat chicken burgers. It was like a great day spend with friends. We met strangers asking of our story, and it was the perfect hilarious non traditional event we dreamed of. The photos Erica was able to capture for us, are something I can’t even describe. Not only did the coast provide the most stunning sunset I’ve ever seen on that faithful day. But it was captured beyond any expectation I’ve ever had. Erica continues to check in with us, and we are in the plans to hire her for a family or anniversary shoot with our new puppy. Erica is more than just our elopement photographer, she’s now a friend and that was the experience we were hoping for that can continue through our travel milestones through Oregon! Thank you so much Erica!"

"Erica is AMAZING. We are from Colorado but wanted to elope on the Oregon coast, and she helped us with every piece of the puzzle! She suggested timing and location options, but was never pushy and left us plenty of room to be spontaneous. Her photographs were AMAZING, even though in the moment we felt like it was just the two of us. She even lent us her grandmother's quilt for a little mini "reception" on the beach! I can't recommend her as an elopement planner or photographer highly enough! On top of it all, she's kind and fun and easy to be around, and even helped us ambush a couple Belgian tourists to sign our paperwork as witnesses! :-) She totally added to the beauty, success, and joy of the whole day! She's an absolute GEM!"

The sooner the better!

Usually, folks tend to book me somewhere between 4 to 14 months in advance. But honestly, the sooner you reach out, the better as there are a bunch of logistics to handle, like getting permits in order. Just keep in mind that September and early October tend to fill up pretty quickly!

I always suggest bringing extra warm clothes to layer with, good boots if you’ll be doing any hiking, snacks, water, and anything special that you want to include. I also always carry extra snacks and a first aid kit at minimum.

When I build your custom location list, I always have a plan B, and plan C and maybe even a plan D. I definitely photograph in all types of weather though, so if it’s not dangerous, we will proceed as planned.

You may include up to 15 people on your elopement day. Anything more than that really requires some sort of venue as it becomes difficult logistically. Keep in mind some locations have smaller size restrictions.

I do not offer raw photos since it's not an accurate representation of my work. My art is based on not only how I take the photo, but also how I edit it afterwards! Plus, do really want want to edit your own wedding photos?
