A gorgeous Deschutes Brewery Wedding for sweethearts united in their love of craft beer!

I knew right away that Rochelle & Ben’s Deschutes Brewery wedding was right up my alley! We hit it off the previous summer when they hired me to photograph their engagement session at Crux Brewery. These two are craft beer connoisseurs, and they love that I mention IPAs in my bio, so chose me to capture their destination engagement session and ultimately wedding here in Bend. Their love of the “nectar of the Gods” naturally led them to a beer themed wedding, all taking place as the gorgeous Deschutes Mountain Room, at the main brewing facility here in Bend, Oregon. The tables were all named after the flagship brews Deschutes is famous for, with beautiful candelabras and hop heavy florals as centerpieces. Guests were treated to a tour of the brewery immediately following the ceremony, while Rochelle, Ben and I headed down to the river for some formal portraits. It was a gorgeous, intimate wedding where every single guest traveled to attend their brewery destination wedding here in Bend. Despite the heat and heavy smoke in the air from the crazy wildfires in the region, Rochelle & Ben’s Deschutes Brewery wedding was heartfelt, fun and exactly what they envisioned their day to be!

It was a hot, smoky summer day for a Deschutes Brewery wedding in Bend, Oregon.

Rochelle & Ben stayed in a beautiful vacation rental home in Bend a few miles from the Deschutes Mountain Room, and a few blocks from Bend’s iconic Drake Park. They each got ready on a separate floor of the home, and then The Bend Trolley brought them to the park for their first look. The wedding party followed as well as the family, and then we headed to the Mountain Room for their Deschutes Brewery wedding!

It was time to head to the park for Rochelle & Ben’s first look!

Next, it was time to head to the Mountain Room at Deschutes Brewery, where Rochelle & Ben would tie the knot!

After the ceremony, guests were treated to a tour of the brewery, while Rochelle & Ben posed for a few photos in the brewing facility. Then we headed down to the river for some romantic portraits.

Finally, it was time to head back to the Mountain Room so Rochelle & Ben could enjoy their Deschutes Brewery Wedding reception with their guests!

Rochelle & Ben’s wedding party made their grand entrance into the Mountain Room, where guests were treated to a plated, 3 course meal, with beer pairings for each course. Gwen and I sat with the guests and enjoyed the dinner too! After dinner, there were some heartfelt toasts before the couple’s first dance, family dances and cake cutting. Then Flip Flop Sounds got the party started, providing great dance tunes for everyone to have fun!

The night was coming to a close, but before Gwen and I left, we had a little fun with Rochelle and her guests. I never turn down an invite to dance! I may have a little bit of Elaine-esque moves (kuddos if you get that reference, as I’m aging myself here), but the bride’s brother seems to think I was rocking it, ha!

I had so much fun at Rochelle & Ben’s Deschutes Brewery Wedding! We connected over our love of craft beer and it was truly an honor to be a part of their beer themed wedding day! I love when my clients become friends, and I can’t wait for these two to come visit Bend again, so we can share a beer together and reminisce about their amazing wedding day!
