A Crooked River Grasslands Engagement Session near Bend, Oregon

Tanuja & Scott are a wonderful couple whose love story all started via Airbnb. It’s such a sweet story and the start of a perfect match! They both love the Central Oregon landscape and wanted to choose a unique location for the photos. I’m always happy to suggest locations to my clients, but I also love when a couple has a spot that they love. It was a chilly, but gorgeous spring day when I met Tanuja & Scott for their engagement photos. Scott arrived wearing a kilt, an homage to his Scottish heritage, and I was so thrilled! The unique rock formations and wide open spaces made this an amazing Crooked River Grasslands engagement session!

Scott changed into a wool flannel shirt and pants for the second half of their Crooked River Grasslands engagement session. We continued to clamber about on the unique rocks out in the desert, while Tanuja & Scott played around affectionately. The sun decided to peek out and treat us to some amazing golden hour light, as it slowly set on the high desert horizon.

Sometimes I really love to play with sun flare. It tends to soften an image a bit, as it creates a rich, creamy haze over the photo, but the result always makes me so happy! I just love capturing rainbows in my photos and the love between this two is so evident, especially in this ethereal image.

I always love creating a silhouette of every couple during their engagement session. I am so happy with Tanuja & Scott’s Crooked River Grasslands engagement session!
