Last August I participated in a shoot out event that was hosted by an amazing group of female photographers I am fortunate enough to be a part of. We had use of Polly, the cutest blue VW bus, which really created the most perfect Colorado free-spirited wedding feel. Katie, the bride, is also a phenomenal wedding photographer, but had the chance to step behind the lens and play in her wedding dress with her groom. This real life couple was super fun to work with and I’m so excited to finally blog these images, which is part three of my four part series of blog posts dedicated to this shoot out. I just love VW vans and this converted photobooth makes for a great prop on your wedding day! 

We were lucky enough to have this great VW van to use as a prop during the shoot. I just love the bright blue color, especially with his suit!

Next, we headed to a big open meadow, where these two had some fun!

I just love when couples have fun together. Even though this was a styled shoot, these two are a real married couple and so in love. They walked through the tall, late summer grasses as the skies overhead were filling with heavy storm clouds.

The sun was playing peek-a-boo behind the clouds during this session. I just love how it was providing the most perfect rim lighting on their hair. This always makes my heart skip a beat when I get lighting like this!

A Colorado free-spirited wedding shoot in Elk Meadow Open Space Park

The mountains are my favorite place in the world to be. I just love everything about this gorgeous open space park in Evergreen, CO.

A bride that wears her boots and isn’t afraid to get the bottom of her dress dirty is my kind of bride!

I truly had a great time working with this couple and feel so fortunate to have been a part of this amazing Colorado free-spirited wedding styled shoot event! I deeply value educational opportunities which help me grow as a photographer.
