A Sparks Lake Oregon engagement photo session

Alex reached out to me for an engagement session while she & her fiancé Jeremy were visiting some of his family in Central Oregon. They were living outside of Chicago while Alex was attending school, but fell in love with Oregon and had goals to relocate somewhere in Oregon one day. Jeremy proposed to Alex on another Oregon trip, 5 months prior to their engagement session, after enjoying an amazing dinner at Black Butte Ranch. When I chatted with Alex, she didn’t have a location for her photos picked out, but rather trusted me to find a spot that encompassed Oregon’s beauty, the gorgeous mountains, and water if at all possible. I immediately thought of Sparks Lake and they were game! We met on a warm summer evening in August and these two had no trouble being all lovey dovey for me. Here are some of my favorite images from their beautiful Sparks Lake Oregon engagement photo session.

A gorgeous mountain meadow with views of the Cascade Mountains! 

For the second half of Alex & Jeremy’s Sparks Lake Oregon engagement session we headed to a gorgeous meadow with Soda Creek running through it. Alex & Jeremy changed outfits and then we chased the sun as it set, giving way to the beautiful blue hour. We talked about life, their three doggies (a 3 legged lab mix, a Great Dane mix, and their puppy, a boxer), and their plans to hopefully backpack across Europe for their honeymoon. Alex loves a good Bloody Mary and Jeremy’s favorite drink is any great craft beer. At the end of the night, just before wrapping up their session, I asked if they were game to get in the water. They didn’t hesitate even one bit! I just love couples that don’t sweat the dirt, the cold and can go with the flow!

I really enjoyed getting to know Alex & Jeremy that lovely summer evening. I’m pretty certain they loved the location of their Sparks Lake Oregon engagement session based on their smiles alone. These two really are such a perfect couple together, they had such amazing chemistry and I hope they are doing well!
